Wenger said Cesc should be ok, but his hamstring was a little tight

Wenger also said on arse.com that Song goes forward a little bit too much, but it is a new dimension he has added to his game

I don't care if he goes forward...

So long as there is cover when he does, and he doesn't get caught out. His first priority should be to boss the midfield, and support the attack when possible. I'd say he did just fine in that regard today.

He was awesome today, if he hadn't gone forward we wouldn't have won.

I have no problem with Song pushing up if he gets back.

Luckily, after a few games ironing out his duties he seems to have nailed it, he wins the ball in our own half then immediately starts an attack...

He seems to pop up with very important goals as well which is what i would expect of a player like him who is relentless all game and never seems to tire.

I wouldn't exactly call him Essienesque because he isn't a powerhouse, his style is very weird...and also extremely effective, he slaloms around the field and around players which makes him very hard to mark and very hard to get the ball off.

I'm fine with Song rampaging forward against the West Ham's of this world at home but against better opposition, especially away, it will prove costly eventually if he doesn't pick the right time & it sounds like Wenger agrees. He certainly pops up with important goals though

Cesc's hamstrings are a big worry I think, he's only 23. Seems to fit with many players who play so much so young, it's always the hammy that plagues the rest of their careers

Was playing golf today and only watched the game on the DVR, so only recently was living the last minute goal. What a relief!

But all I have to say is - why is it that Rob Green looks like England's #1 every-time he sees us????

He's always good against Man Utd too, maybe he just gets pumped for the big games.

At least Jack is now back with Cesc out and I think he and Nasri can deputize fine in midfield for the Shaktar game.

Anyone read Baron Greenbacks comments after the game? It was nothing bad but one thing he said made me go "wtf are you smoking"

"I think we played well today. We played against a very good team and I think they only had two chances to score."

Yes they played well and fair play they gave us a seriously hard game, but, we only had 2 chances to score? It must have been a different game with a different Rob Green that pulled off save after save.

Well we did only manage 23 shots and 10 on target... And Green only had 9 saves...

So yeah we only had like 2 chances to score...

what a free kick from nasri. If that had gone in it would have been one of the greatest free kicks of all time.
