There's a 5 day gap between this game and Chavscum away, so not all the big players need to be rested.

Almunia
Eboué Squid Kos Clichy
Song Denilson
Diaby
Arshavin Chamakh Vela

Our shittest midfield? Possibly. But Diaby usually plays better in the CL, and Denilson next to Song is quite a steady core for the team. Looks like there's a distinct lack of creativity there, and I know this team definitely won't start, but Rosicky Nasri and Wilshere need to be rested for Chavscum in my opinion. Rosicky was carrying a knock before sub appearance against West Brom, so he should definitely be rested, although I can probably see him being used in this game and Arshavin being garunteed to start against Chavscum (wouldn't be my choice!)

I think this is going to be a lot tougher than people think. Away games are rarely easy in the CL so we need to be on our toes.

After yesterday I doubt anyone expects an easy game

That is very cool. Puts our fans to shame.

Will you be going to the game?

I don't think we're going to see Nishi again after the group stages.

He's not a WUM, just a member of the advertising team for the club... or the league, or country? Not sure. He only turns up to post videos of his beloved team.

We often get fans from other clubs when the CL group stages start. Keeps things interesting and they are rarely if ever on the wind up.

I wouldn't expect him to stay... he's come to this forum to discuss the matches against his club, there probably isn't much else of interest for him here.

Almunia injury puts Fabianski in goal

By Richard Clarke

Lukasz Fabianski will be in goal for Arsenal at Partizan Belgrade on Tuesday night.

The Polish keeper is taking the gloves because Manuel Almunia picked up an elbow injury during the penalty incident against West Brom on Saturday.

Arsène Wenger relayed the news before training on Monday morning. During that session he will decide if Kieran Gibbs can board the plane for Serbia. The left back is still recovering from the badly bruised foot he suffered at Tottenham last Tuesday.

“We have Manual Almunia out,” said the manager. “He has a problem with his elbow. He caught it when he made the penalty on Saturday.

“Also Kieran Gibbs has a test in training today.”

Almunia came under scrutiny after the 3-2 defeat at Emirates Stadium over the weekend but Wenger made it clear that, but for this injury, he was not going to leave out his No 1.

“No,” the Frenchman responded. “[The keeper] is always the easy target, the easy scapegoat. But we win together and we lose together even if people think he made a mistake on the second goal.”

noooooooooooooooooo.

Almunia getting injured saving the penalty might explain why he was so poor in the second half though.

There is a group of fans who sing, but the Emirates is often quieter than a mouses fart.

Wenger should just play his strongest 11.. and forget the chelsea game for now.. The last thing we want is to go to the chelsea game with 2 defeats on the trot..!!
