Djourou f***ked up to let Benjani through on goal, then Dunn scored from 25 yards out, then Djourou gave away a penalty

We won 4-3!

Are you playing with me because I've been saying for years that Djoupou is a liability and always 2 mins away from giving a penalty?

If this is true; it just confirms how poo Djoupoo is!!!

Its on the Jeorge Bird youth site, when I read Djourou gave away a penalt, I immediately thought of what you said about him and penalties.

Apparently Squillaci went in hard on Roberts with a tackle in the box who was crying for a penalty, but Squillaci had won the ball with the tackle and the ref ignored Roberts

Haha I swear Djoupoo gave away about 3 penalties while on loan at Brum! Any one of them could've been responsible for them going down that season!

Doesn't bode well for the mickey mouse cup where I'm guessing it will be a Squillaci-Djourou partnership at the back!

I am still trying to fathom why he played at all. He is better than Koscielny, more experienced and he had full pre-season training...

My only guess is that AW wanted to integrate him into our style of play seeing as his pre-season was spent with Sevilla.

Playing Koscielny over Squillaci is madness because at the moment there is a clear gulf between them.

I guess we will find out on Saturday.

PS what kind of team were Blackburn playing? Sounds like they were a few short of full strength :dizzy:

Can't be surprised at the cricket score when Flappianski was in goal.

We only had to score four to make up for his errors I imagine.

Gunn, Blackburn included the likes of Steven Nzonzi, Dunn, Jason Roberts and Benjani in their starting XI.
