Don't mean to sound overly cynical... but...

I really don't understand all the higher ratings for Flappy. He didn't do anything the whole match.

I don't know how many crosses he had to deal with, but I don't recall any off the top of my head. He had 1 save on only faced 3 shots and one corner...

How does that performance warrant anything over an average 6? No fault of his own because he wasn't required to do anything, but at the same time how does he get a 7 or 8 for that?

To be fair how does anybody get anything better than average for that performance? Maybe the defenders for being tough to breakdown.

His distribution was class.

I don't either, he could have set up a deck chair and made cups of tea all game and he still wouldn't have had to do fuckall.

His distribution was never in doubt anyway, so its not a reason to get a hard-on IMO.

And i don't feel either that the reason he had nothing to do was because Man City were so impotent, rather the fact that Campbell and Silvestre were both, equally OUTSTANDING.

Totally shut out any attacks they mustered, the double, combo tackle on Viera was magic.

Yeah, I've been on Silvestre this year but he made me swallow my words today, absolute quality defending from him.

Silvestre has never been bad, he has always been solid and his pace has never been suspect, its because he is an ex-Manc that every tiny little thing he does wrong is totally blown out of proportion, its this favouratism thing with players rearing its head again...

I don't necessarily want to keep Silvestre next season, because IMO, we need an heir to Gallas's position, and too many (Enough as i would call it) bodies in one position is not AW's style unless its midfield...

Having said that if we did give him a year i wouldn't be overly disappointed, the man knows how to win, and he knows what it takes, and he has a calm mentality and a good influence on the pitch.

Campbell definitely needs to stay however.
