13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

One good save at the end of the game does not make up for the fact that the level of Flapping eclipses anything Fabianski ever did.

If by flapping you mean punching the ball to safety, then yes he is guilty.

He made 3 or 4 class saves.

Not sure what game you were watching, maybe it was the repeat of szczesny yesterday or a replay of stekelenkenenkenberg's flap :P

I agree, he was Germany's best player tonight by far. It's good to see him finally replicating his club form at international level.

My guess for best IX would be:

Casillas
Debuchy Koscielny Hummels Lahm
Dzagoev Xavi Iniesta Ronaldo
Giroud Lewandowski
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Don't think either Koscielny or Giroud are going to start, mate.

I would love for them to start, but if not Giroud then Gomez and if not Koscielny then Pepe

I vote for Pereira.

I mean, he kept Podolski quiet, and Podolski is the best player at the tournament

(I hope)

David Dein on Rocky Rocastle.

I wonder what Gazidis would have said......

I thought Debuchy and Konoplyanka were very impressive today for France and Ukraine respectively.

Rising star?

He's already 1 of the top 3 CB's in the world in my(maybe biased but I don't think so :P) opinion.

Hopefully Wolski gets a game for Poland and I wanna see more of Pilar for the Czech's.

I've long been of the opinion Hummels is a better CB than Subotic. And it hasn't changed.

Definitely.

Subotic is good, but Hummels is just a total beast.
