Goalkeepers

Joe Hart, John Ruddy, ???

Defenders

Kyle Walker, Micah Richards, Keiran Gibbs, Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka Gary Cahill, Phil Jones.

Midfielders/Attackers

Scott Parker, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Adam Johnson, Gareth Barry, Ashley Young, James Milner, Daniel Sturridge, Theo Walcott

Forwards

Wayne Rooney, Peter Crouch, Grant Holt, Jermain Defoe.

Hope OX is rested. Might put Carrol in instead of Crouch.

If Scholes is deemed too old then some one like Leon Britton, Jonjo Shelvey or Andrew Surman to come in. Maybe even, Henderson :| !!!!

There's a clear missing generation of top class 24-28 years olds for England!

ox rested? I don't think he's played enough, this tournament would do him the world of good. there's no way we can risk Holt either, he was in the Championship last season and although hes done well this season it's a massive leap from playing at a mid table side too the highest level at International level, he's a long way from that standard.

Hart, Foster, Robinson

Walker, Richards, lescott, terry, P. Jones, Cole, Cahill, Baines

Walcott, Gerard, Parker, Young, Lennon, Barry, Scholes, Johnson, Sturridge, OX

Rooney, Bent, Welbeck, Crouch

I'd have Ox in ahead of Walcott.

Peter Crouch has to go, especially if Bent isn't available. Crouch has always done the business for England, if he wasn't so tall then he'd be in everyone's squad, people don't include him simply because he is tall - and it isn't even as if he is a Carroll type target man, he's excellent on the ball.

I would agree with you a few years ago but no so much now! Because the strikers ahead of him apart from Rooney, none of them are great either! Welbeck is crap! I don't care, he ain't much of a player, an athlete yes but not much of a player, Bent has hardly played all year, Defoe should be in scored enough goals despite not playing too much and Crouch while effective, has far more technique than Holt, is solid rather than the unpredictable threat of old. Still think you can have a maximum of 2 hold up players!

Seriously i think Holt deserves it! Scored enough goals, big, strong horrible to play against, some of the others like Defoe and Bent, on their off day they are totally useless while Holt can use his strength to unsettle teams, that's maybe which Carrol should still be in with a shout also.

Whats important is also Holt sticking it to the stupid pathetic FA, who have a immensely f***ked up youth system from top to bottom which is ALL about money and not about actually bringing through talent. this is why Journeymen honest players like Holt are in with a shout in the first place!

Someone who can cause anyone trouble!

Oh and OX, i mean if he goes good on him but I'd rather him rest, this England team is very, very average don't think it wold help him being under such pressure!

Can't believe people still putting Gerrand AND Lampard in England team. It didn't work in their prime. It's NOT goona work now!

You realise you said Welbeck isn't much of a player, just an athlete then picked Walcott?

I would understand one of them but both in the squad? apparently the don't get along either.

He's effective for England and has Blistering pace rather than is just fast like Welbeck.

Shrek, Defoe, Bent, Sturridge would be my strikers, assuming Bent is fit.

By the way, do people really rate Carrick? I think he's massively overrated personally. Hardly even gets a game for Manure these days.

Crouch is a million times better than Defoe.

Since when, he's only ever scored 3 goals for England and all of them were in the same game.
