A minute to go and England opt to pass it through midfield rather than punt it up from a set-piece... things are looking up guys!

We got Frimpong ;) He'll be Boeteng's replacement in 2/3 years.

Good game that.
Probably the right result in the end.
I thought the kids did well considering they were playing against proper senior players. Lots of potential there.

Defo, the so called 'Golden generation' probably would have struggled to do much better than that, far less convincingly.

That was a really good game and we're seing a completely different side to England. Gerrard and Lampard should be axed permanently!!!

Defensively, as long as Lescott isn't in the frame then I think we're fine, so get rid of no-top-lip and wife-shagger, and stick with Cahill and Dawson or Jagielka.

Youth is the way to go!

More passion from the kids in that game than there was from the seniors all World Cup.

They did well. It'll be interesting if Capello reverts to type in the next game or starts mixing up the squad and starts phasing out those old c+nts (Lampard & co).

Not really kids except Jack are they? All the fringe players gave a good account of themselves, well apart from Lescott. England playing decent football... who'd have thunk it?

That was the biggest difference wasn't it? I think I would have enjoyed this match no matter what the score was.

Like I said in a previous post. Gyan gets called for offside, we have a freekick 15 yards in our half with 1 minute remaining... and we choose to pass through midfield instead of punting it! We actually got it down the pitch in a matter of seconds and put in a half decent cross. Good choice!

Polar opposite of the embarassing shite that represented us at the World Cup!

I called them kids because it's quicker than typing 'Squad players who are all quite young.'

A large chunk of them are either U21s like Carroll and Wilshere or recently finished playing for U21s like Hart, Downing, Milner & Young.
