Chamakh told he can leave

Exactly, but for some reason I think we won't offload more than two more players this week, despite the fact we should actually offload at least 3 or 4.

People who haven't made our bench and played a game in pre-season are as good as gone in my opinion. That leaves Chamakh and Arshavin in question which isn't a positive.

I agree but then again I wonder why Arshavin wasn't on our bench today. -He's not certainly injured.

Gervinho gets the nod as a false 9 over him... that should tell us everything we need to know.

Arsenal’s Cham marriage over

ARSENAL misfit Marouane Chamakh has been thrown a lifeline by Fenerbahce.

The Morocco international has not played a minute of Premier League football this season — and managed just one top-flight start last term.

Turkish Cup holders Fenerbahce are ready to end the 28-year-old’s nightmare with a January transfer bid.

They want Chamakh to replace Cameroon striker Henri Bienvenu.

Chamakh hit 11 goals in his first season after arriving from Bordeaux in 2010 but is out of favour with boss Arsene Wenger.

He has just made two League Cup appearances this season, scoring twice.

Telegraph is saying that West Ham are targeting Chamakh for a January transfer?

Would be great if true. Chamakh would get a chance to remain in the PL, which is probably something he's been holding out for, and we can cross at least one name off the "Deadwood" thread! :arse fan:

It's not like we're making money on him now.

As long as we don't have to pay a portion of his wages (as City's doing with Adebayor) even after he's sold, we should take whatever WH offers and split the wage savings across Walcott and Sagna, assuming they haven't already signed elsewhere.

It's not like we're skint and need to free up some money if we want to up Sagna's and Walcott's pay... we're just no prepared to pay it.

Chamakh would do well at West Ham while Nolan and/or Carroll is fit. He does well when partnered with someone that has a brain.
