Arsenal will listen to offers for flop Sebastien Squillaci in January as manager Arsene Wenger forges ahead with his squad clear out.

The summer signing of Per Mertesacker has seen the France defender drop to fifth choice centre half.

Arsenal will let Squillaci, 31, leave the Emirates on loan, or in a permanent deal in the region of £2million.

Misfiring striker Marouane Chamakh, 27, has also be told he can leave the club in the new year after failing to recapture his early season form

Surley some French team would take him back in a heartbeat, plus he seemed more suited to thier leauge. He never really settled in the Premiership.

Sell Chamakh and replace with someone decent.... we'd start to look a good side again

He did get going then flopped spectacularly. I recon theres a link between his form and that hairline. He needs to take a leaf out of commander warfs book and embrace it.
