Majority of people don't know what to expect, its easy to look at his goalscoring record and say he isn't good enough but then i could say that for quite a few strikers who came to the Prem and did well here.

Everyone says this is the toughest League blah blah but certain players thrive here.

I'll wait for the season to begin before passing full judgement on him but if he replicates his CL form for us then he will be a very, VERY good striker.

Hopefully we revert back to a system which incorperates 2 strikers.

Given our style of play and his, provided he gets the service, i think 20+ is not unrealistic for an experienced striker with CL experience, thats in ALL comps btw.

at least 14 goals over the season...even if the chances are not created for him i expect him to bag some scrap goals, rebounds etc. he is a very athletic, mobile fella

I'll be happy if he gets 10 his first season, though I'm hoping that's an underestimate. It will likely take him a while to adjust from the French league to the EPL so I dont' think he'll set things on fire too quickly.

I not expecting him to set the stage alight to be honest, becuase he's not that type of player.. or so I've been lead to believe.

Im just hoping for him to make an impact in games where we need a bit more pace & physicality up front, not expecting up to get bullied against big strong defenders anymore.

If Diaby comes good then we will have one physical team:

Poop
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Clichy
Fabregas Song Diaby
Van Persie Bendtner Chamakh

Agreed. Song and Diaby are both physically imposing players... or atleast Diaby should be!!!

Fabregas and Nasri may be short but they love to get stuck in.

RVP may be made of glass, but he can hold his own and he's 6ft+, as is Chamaaaakh.

Some people's estimates seem surprisngly high. Bear in mind he's coming into a new league, we don't know if he'll start every game and he's hardly been prolific in the past. I do think he'll have a big hand in many goals though, just may not score too many.
