Yeah it's been a while since we've scored a goal from a blistering counter attack. They used to count the seconds from one end to the other.

Eboue's fresh legs and pace made that happen, God I love that man, he's on f***ing fire. :cloud9:

I don't, i am just shocked...

One of the best young strikers around, PERIOD.

Me and you were supporting him before it was fashionable FFS.

We were, and as I always say, it's a brave man who questions Wenger's judgement on players.
Young players are erratic, simple as that. Wait for them to groooooow.

well esqueeze me I believe me and I Moan Frequently backed Nick to

You do get behind the players it's true, but I don't think you two were members of this site when the 'BENDTNER IS SHIT' thread was first created.
Almost no-one was behind him back then.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I wasn't here good job really as I would of lost it! I've always liked Bendtner and I know he has ability he just needs confidence and hopefully that will come now

I have always been a Bendy supporter as well

I think you're right. And I was one that was against him and still question his finishing ability. But I'm willing to wait cause he IS still young. But two tap ins and a penalty aren't going to change my mind on whether he'll be a world class finisher or not. But if we keep setting up chances like that for him he won't have to be. Hopefully though, this helped his confidence a bit, and he'll show us that he can have more consistency in his finishing.

Someone i think it was the Goose stuck in the hoose put up a video of Nick banging in a goal against portugal with a world class finish! Bendtner is Danish player of the year he helped Denmark to qualify for the world cup in argueably a harder group than England had! They where one of the first to qualify and Bendtner was a main factor behind that

I totally accept that one game doesn't win the argument for anyone here.
The jury is still out on B52 but last night will hopefully mean that a few more people will get off his f***ing back, and it could also mean that he has more belief in himself.
A lot of fans don't appreciate that putting a 20 year-old up front in a MUST-WIN CL game is a hell of a lot of pressure and he coped with it well.
I bet no-one on here was ever in a situation anywhere NEAR as pressurised as that at that age.
As I said before, if he's still missing gilt-edged chances at the age of 23 then fine I give up but until then I won't write him off or do the opposite i.e. claim that he's the finished article.

Just to say, I've always been a fan of Bendtner and stuck up for him for a long time.

In fact in the FA Cup game against Plymouth, I almost had a row with a bloke (who had a dodgy moustache) sat three rows in front of me who spent the whole game shouting abuse at him (even when he played a major part in our goal). Below are some articles I posted on 606 in case anyone doesn't believe me:

(Everyone knows, I like a big strong target man though  )
