Indeed.

Beginning to fear that Inch's irrational hatred of Campbell is starting to cloud his judgement a bit.

35 years old, going up against one of the paciest teams on the planet, he was our best player i thought...

Agreed, scored a neat goal aswell.

What was he supposed to do?

Not touch it at all and risk being robbed of it?

Not having a decisive goalkeeper will do that to a defence...

He should have kicked the ball away, he never should have picked it up, its the most retarded thing i have ever seen.

This is the crucial point, that mistake by Fabianski was a real schoolboy howler, I heard myself shouting out "DON'T PICK IT UP" every Arsenal fan will have been thinking the same thing, to say that I was stunned would be an understatement.

You can blame Fabianski and blame the ref and you'd be right on both counts but Sol played his part I'm afraid and you can't deny that.
He accidentally touched the ball back which was his first mistake (if that hadn't happened then none of the rest of it would've happened) and then when the ref gave the free kick, instead of springing into life he sulked and put his head in his hands.
He was still whingeing when Porto scored the goal. As the 'experienced' CB he should've been organising the back four.
Trust me he will be seriously pissed off with himself after last night and rightly so imo.

You can't blame Sol for that back pass!

Only five minutes before Sagna was in a similar position and had a go at Fabianski for not talking to him.

It was far from useless. He made several key interventions and also carried the ball up the field during a period where we needed an outlet. It wasn't thrilling by any means, but one thing it certainly wasn't, was useless.

Surely Sol played his part and I agree Inch.. It was a big mistake from Flopski then Sol then the ref..!! I blame the ref as well.. but if i was Wenger I would be more worried about Flopski and Sol part..

Campbell didn't know what to do.

He had some c*** up his arse and a t**t in front of him, he overthought and in the end made an error.

An error that would have been non-existant if any other goalkeeper on planet Earth had been playing.

And how the f**k could he organise the defence?

Fabiclutski took the ball, the Ref asked for the ball, dropped it, obstructed Campbell and they scored before we even knew what hit us.

If only them 2 lucky goals hadn't have stood we would have won 1 nil.
But hey they won't be so lucky at The Grove

We could have won 2 nil if we had that stonewaller, but we can't change it now.

Let's rape 'em 10-0 at Ashburton

So you agree that he made an error then.
Once he realised he'd touched the ball he could also have put it in row Z. Would've been a throw in or corner but still better than a free kick from 5 yards out.

I agree that it all happened quickly but he saw the ref grabbing the ball and starting to get the free kick under way and he did f**k all.
Ultimately there are three parties responsible for that goal so to say that Sol is blameless is being extremely generous.
