In the second half we ran all over Pompey really, even though they scored

First half, less than so. The goals by Eduardo and Nasri broke the ice, but Pompey also had chances. Could have ended 4-2 I would think

nice little cameo, from eastmond. I was hoping that we would play someone instead of song for last bit, just to see what wenger is thinking of doing in his absence.
What the starting eleven gonna be with out song?
in wenger we trust

It's great to round of 2009 in style, scoring plenty of goals. It's been a mixed year for the team. We're in a healthy position, four points adrift of Chelsea, with a game in hand. Who'd have predicted that after the Chelsea debacle? It's important to keep up our momentum because we've got the game in hand against Bolton in January and other huge fixtures looming against Man Utd and Chelsea.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

Stunning, absolutely, 150% stunning end to the year, i had my doubts about this game given that Pompey seemed to be revitalised under Grant, but they were not even close...

No clean sheet but yet we still have the best goal difference in the League with a game in hand, now i say we have improved over last season.

I still think we need to bolster our squad with at least one World Class edition, i think another Arshavin esc buy in terms of stature and reputation and we could potentially leave everyone else behind....

That's two very impressive wins on the trot and still without any recognised strikers on the pitch. You can't count Eduardo because he's on awful form at the moment.
I must say the supposed 'B' team are playing really well and justifying their starting places.
Who would've thought that Diaby would suddenly start passing the ball and scoring goals...? :dizzy:
When you see names on the team sheet like Diaby, Traore and Ramsey - no RVP, no Bendtner, no Theo, no Cesc etc. etc. it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence but we can't stop scoring so these kids must be doing something right.

Let's hope we can take this form into the Bolton game and get within touching distance of Chelscum.

thanks for the link to the goals. Just got home from a night out ready to belatedly watch the match not knowing how it had panned out only to find the sky box had failed and it hadn't recorded. Doh!
