actually diaby did quite alot i thought, he helped song break down villa attacks well and brought the ball forwards. i think the whole team looked 100% better as soon as cesc came on though.

As I say I only tuned in at 70 mins but I didn't see him have a touch until the goal

and yea what position was he in?

Thought Diaby was good today, didn't do much wrong, but Cesc was absolutely magnificent. When he stepped up to take the free kick, I said to the ladies in front of us "Fancy a second goal from a free kick in as many games.. anyone with me?" Hehehe. Brilliant though, will start the report right now by the way.

Just got back from the game - thought it was a pretty even first half with Eduardo missing another sitter - he hasn't any confidence at all in front of goal at the moment.
Second half was excellent, especially after Fabregas came on. Diaby & Song were really good as were Vermaelen.
All in all a good solid display which puts us firmly back in the title race.

We didn't think he would play on Sunday because he was suspended - that makes me think he has all the qualities to join Arsenal!

Did anyone notice that Traore started many many attacks for us?

Villa fans were singing "Stand up if you hate Tottenham" at one point.

Everyone sings that. They really must be the most hated team/fans in the league

Maybe we should ask them why they hate spurs?

Traore was great, has grest pace and contained Ashley Young and Song owned Milner.

They hardly attacked and Agbonlahor looked lonely and lost his battles with TV5.

Poetry or Penthouse Forum material? :P

I'm feeling the former - not that there's anything wrong with that (the later).

But what a season he is putting together - by far his best. As one of the announcers said today; 'if he cannot get into the Spanish midfield for the World Cup - start placing your bets on Spain now'.

I am so happy with todays result. Everything was great apart from Eduardo who is starting to worry me. Maybe he should read some of those books by Noel Edmonds about "the power of positive thinking" or something like that as he needs a confidence kickstart.

We were solid at the back today and I loved watching Vermalen tussle with Agbonlahor, he is a beast.

Brilliant result.. Hope we follow it up with a win at Portsmouth.. We need to be getting 12 points in the next 4 games before the Villa, Man u, Chelsea and Liverpool games in late Jan/early Feb..
Diaby was great, Song as usual was a rock.. Nasri was average.. Traore was good as well.. But what an impact from Cesc!! He has really grown this year to become the star performer and a match winner, which he wasn't in the past few years.. Eduardo needs something to be fixed!! Arshavin only came to life when Cesc was on..
