What a cameo from the boy Cesc! That's what you expect your captain to do. Finally a win over Villa at the Emirates. We're up to second in the table, with a game in hand. So we've eliminated much of the damage down by that wretched defeat against "Unstoppable Chelsea" (ha!). We've got some decent fixtures coming up in the next few weeks, before that mad end of January/start of February period when we play Villa again, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

Words cannot describe what I'm feeling towards Fabregas right now.

think i agree with that, really really great win, excellent game, credit to villa who fought well and probably a little harsh scoreline but we outplayed them eventually and cesc just completely changed the game 27 mins and MOTM, hope hes not injured too bad going to see the pompey game and was looking forward to seeing him for the first time in ages.

looking forward to seeing the goals back later all three top class.

4 behind chelsea with game in hand and a big statement with a comprehensive win over a team who beat all the other 3 of the big four.

anyone else just feel like cesc was gonna score from that freekick? there was something in his eye that just made me certain. lovely goal.

I don't think Cesc's injury was as bad as it turned out to be. He seemed fine walking down the tunnel, if anything, he mut've felt a slight twinge.

I didn't actually know Diaby was on the pitch until he scored. So he did f**k all for 20 mins.... what position was he in? Nasri looked like he was at CM to me

If Cesc didn't come on, he was my thought to be MOTM!

actually diaby did quite alot i thought, he helped song break down villa attacks well and brought the ball forwards. i think the whole team looked 100% better as soon as cesc came on though.

Excellent result against an inform side. Arsenal have done well to drag themselves back into the title reckoning. After the defeat at home to Chelsea and the subsequent long term injury to Van Persie, I thought that the final nail had been driven into the coffin. Shows how wrong you can be!

+1

Diaby was brilliant today and was our most liveliest player in the first half, and his goal for our 3rd was great aswell.
