Did the commentator just say we have our game in hand against Burnley in a weeks time?

Well I enjoyed the performance despite the result, Ramsey and Song are a great partnership.

Indeed

I expect the negative bunch to poor on here and say how awful we were and didnt take our chances

Zico gave Wenger a big hug, as if to say thank you for playing your kids and helping us qualify lol

Frustrated. That Greek shower were pony and there for the takin. Much the same as the first team in the 1st half, lots of fannyin around up to their 18 yard box, missed gilt-edged chances and useless set pieces. 2nd half was more productive. Ramsey, I must say, was quality, as was Fabianski. Merida did real good an all. Song was solid, as usual. Bartley looked decent and Sylvestre looks more assured. Bleedin' Vela wants a cuff round the 'ead for those two misses. Walcott's got the touch of a rapist and the decision making of an intoxicated 14 year old. I was surprised how poor Jack was. Didn't get into the game at all. When he got the ball he couldn't seem to be able to penetrate and just played safe passes.
I know it didn't mean sod all, we're through, but I would have like to see a reward for our 2nd half performance and it could only be a good thing if the young lads developed a ruthless edge early in their careers, otherwise they might end up like... well, the 1st team.

Bring on the 'Pool.

Good players: Rambo, Merida and Song.

Average players: Cruise, Bartley (one real mistake punished, thats European football for you) and Fabianski (had a few WTF? moments but had a couple of decent saves)

Should and could do better: Vela (sorry son your a striker, you live and die by your finishing), Wilshere (where was he?) and Walcott (awful, shocking first touch. Don't care how long you have been out - should be practising that! And run off an injury for once )

What the hell are they doing in the squad?: Silvestre and Gibbs. Terrible footballers both.

Overall - not a great display but not terrible. Worryingly though this young team is getting very used to losing. :(

Gilbert then. Jesus.

If anyone thinks that was a good performance by any stretch of the imagination then gonna lend me your rose tinted specs?

Some of you lot are worse than Wenger. "Oh don't say anything negative about the team. They are only kids. Blah blah." Sorry but that was a team representing Arsenal football club and silly me I thought some of them wanted to win. Bar the 3 I mentioned I doubt any of them could or would have won a match against a very pedestrian Oympiacos side.

I didn't say it was a disaster or anything. Just I would expect a bit of a better performance from certain players who should be pushing for starting berths, or at least bust a gut not to lose. :dontknow:
