Arshavin really showed his worth in that game, i don't think anyone else in the team was capable of just finishing that off.

Arsenal win, Liverpool about to lose to a balloon, 20/20 champions league is live and gripping and in an hours time it is qualifying in the Brazilian grand prix in treachorously wet conditions.....

what a day of sport

Agreed. That's what we paid for. Someone who can win/keep us in games and secure points in games like today.

song was awesome in that game, he's easily one of the best DM's in the league now but with a ridiculously good passing range

Good hustle lads. 3 points and we're only 4 off the top with a game in hand. Delicious

agreed, he's been quality for the whole of the season so far. He's one of our most important players at the moment.

Why is the Cup of nations on during the World Cup year is what Im asking. Ridiculous. And it should be every 4 years like others

It is weird, but with African football advancing in quality more than any other i suppose a major tournament every 2 years can only help it's advancement even further.

It is still annoying for clubs with important African players though. I hope the players wages are paid for by the countries FA rather than their clubs while they are away.

Very pleased with the result today even if we were a bit shaky defensively at times.
It was definitely another 'attack is the best form of defence' style games.
Could be worrying against better opposition but the main thing is that we got the points and Liverpoo and Chelscum dropped theirs.

I was at the match today. Went for a few in the Twelve Pins before the match. Lots of Brum fans in there today, a good atmosphere and the Brum fans singing "shit on the Villa, shit on the Villa tonight" to the tune of "Roll Out The Barral"

Good performance again from RvP. That back pass was totally farcical...a good win overall
