The Netherlands work it from right to left and when the ball gets to Giovanni van Bronckhorst 35 yards out to the left, it looks like he's got very little on. But the 35-year-old conjures up an absolute screamer, sending a stunning left-foot drive into the top corner, just flicking the fingertips of Fernando Muslera on its way into the postage stamp. Magnificent.

Anyone notice that the most creative move of the match came from RVP? He dropped deep (for a change! he's not used the same as he is in our 4-3-3) and looked very compfortable in and amongst 3 Uraguyans, he created some space and Robben used the time to get into the box, RVP found a nice easy ball... that's what happens when RVP drops deep and creates, could have been 2-0.

I love watching Sneijder play, as I love watching all playmakers. But RVP has more balance and is mroe comfortable in tight situations. I think with the Uragyans defending the way they are, the Dutch need to use RVP a little more.
