Gutted for Mexico. Still want that black kit though, sexiest kit of the WC!

i remain distinctly unimpressed by argentina.

Mexico were undone by a hoorendous decision, and a lack of composure defensively. Without that, there's every chance that they could have had a good result here.

Against a team who are more ruthless in front of goal, and more solid defensively, I think Argentina will struggle. Germany next for them, hmmm...

also, why are the MOTD so deparate to see Messi score? i don't get it.

None of the supposedly top 3 players in the world have performed that well, and Messi is the best bet to reach the level that people predicted he would reach this WC.

Have to strongly disagtree emkay. I will agree their defence isn't the best but the firepower they have going forward is unbelievable.

If they took Cambiasso and Zanetti then their defence would be one of the best.

The story is some of the other players don't like either of them and thats why they were left out. Not sure how true that is.

Must be true, only an idiot would leave out one of the best DM's in the world and a legend that has kept the likes of Messi in his pocket recently.

Cambiasso is a legend. I can't think of any footballing reason he wasn't taken.

I think Argentina are yet to be truely tested, but I must admit even so they have looked very impressive.

Argentina v Germany should be a VERY interesting match-up. Too bad the refs will bottle it...
This space used to be more fun...
