They're just annoying. How is this any different than a bunch of people bringing air horns to a game and just holding the button down for 90mins?

There's no rhythm, musical aspect or anything remotely close to that... they're just dumb.

I don't care if they're banned or not. I just don't see why anybody would bring one to a match. Just seems pointless to me. :dontknow:

What does just making a bunch of noise do for your team? At least with chants you're showing some support or singing encouragement, what does just noise making do? The players don't know if you're making noise for them, for the other team, to protest a call to whatever...

To me it smacks of we have no imagination or intelligence so we're just going to make noise all day.

they're the instrument of an idiot with no sense of proper football atmosphere or real support. anyone who uses one at football should have it shoved wide side first straight up their jacksy ;)

I didn't really hear them during the Germany game either

But I would still ban them; the annoying thing is that supporters of every country has a vuvuzela and they're using it excessively

Agree with goose. They were very annoying whilst watching the England game to start with but I did eventually kinda tune them out.

While I hate the things, let's not forget that a large number of us once had air horns, I owned one and used to annoy the hell out of people on The North Bank until they were banned.

Some people believe they are being played over the tannoys as when it goes to a crowd shot nobody is ever playing 1 and even a 5 year old would get bored of blowing 1 after 10 minutes...

its a shame it's going to put a downer on the world cup, just saw on an aussie tv programme about the world cup the opening line was "only 27 more days until we never have to hear a vuvuzela again". its a shame but that is the way it's going and how this world cup may end up being remembered, people starting to want it over and done with already.

I think it's only an issue because the games have been so poor.

Once the games liven up (and that won't be until the last group game/knock-out stages) it'll all be forgotten.

lol... very rigid folks :p

Not every one is supposed to like it. Some players like it and if I was in SA I'd sure cop one and make the loudest noise ever.

Now Patrice the c*nt Evra is saying it was distracting. They played shitty and their internal ramblings will distract them more than the vuvuzelas.

When I get to the world cup in brazil, whatever it is that the locals are enjoying the game with - I will definitely partake in. Happens once in 4 yrs and if the fans in the stadium are still picking up their vuvuzelas and joining the crowd.. do not cringe in the comfort of your homes or offices..

W****rs :p

Good for you mate

Some countries come with drums, some play loud trumpets... and who says the vuvuzela is not musical... ignorance.
