Walcott left out of World Cup squad

Postby Inchpräctice » Tue Jun 01, 2010 12:22 pm

According to SSN, SWP is in, Adam Johnson is out, Bent is out.

That's a mistake imo.
I could understand it if he lost out to Johnson but apparently he didn't because Lennon and SWP are going.

Feel sorry for Theo, he'll be gutted.
:disgust:

Wow, I blame Sven, taking Walcott to the WC has put so much pressure on him to be in this squad

The worst thing is that he seems to have been dropped for SWP which is a total joke because SWP is awful.

Totally agree.
SWP may be more consistent but Theo is faaaar more dangerous imo.
In the last few England games SWP has been shite.

No big surprise really, I'm quite glad he's not going at least he might get some peace now (until next season anyway)!

I'm surprised he's been able to run at all with all those people on his f*cking back!

Shame for Theo especially to be dropped for SWP, who is basically just a sub for City now (yes I know Theo does the same for us).

Leaving Bent out is absolutely ridiculous imo. How many goals does he have to score before he gets the recognition he deserves?

Cos he was given a chance. After the performance on Sunday, he didn't take it.

ok, but why SWP over theo? this is nonsence! SWP never played good games for england.

As I said in the other thread it will be about his age and could probably handle the pressure more. I'd of picked Johnson before them both but wasn't surprised SWP went instead.

His last few appearances for England have been quality. Didn't he get man of the match off the subs bench a few games ago?

2-1 down, 15 minutes to go... Theo comes on, offers a constant outlet, beats the tired left back everytime he gets the ball, opens up the game, Rooney scores... OR... Theo comes on, opposition defense shits itelf and defends deep, long balls go flying in, Crouch heads it in... 2-2 final score, extra time!

Alternatively:
2-1 down, 15 minutes to go... SWP comes on... nothing changes, 2-1 final score!

Bollocks!

We'd still go out on penatlies so I suppose it desn't really matter!

Walcott left out of World Cup squad

Postby Arsenal Tone » Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:49 pm

At least theo should be fresh for the start of next season. He needed a kick up the ass, maybe being dropped from the England squad will be it!
