True, and if you look at it certain countries were by far the biggest culprits. Over all Spain and Italy have been the worst. There is players from other teams who have been diving, but those 2 countries have flopped around like fish out of water since the tournament started.

Dreadful wasn't it? Was switching back and forward and the Swiss were pretty muck even though they basically had their fate in their own hands.

50 dives a peice, much crowding round the ref brandishing air cards, Ronaldo and Iniesta both to get a player sent off

No need for the teams to exert themselves as they were through, won't happen in the knockout stages

Make of that what you will. I have read alot of people backing Torres and saying that he was clipped and did nothing wrong.

It's not as obvious as it first seems that one.
Initially it looks Torres has banged his own heels together and thrown himself to the floor.

But if you watch the clip right at the very beginning there may or may not be slight contact between the number 13's knee and Torres's right foot.
Obviously Torres makes a meal of it and it's clearly not worthy of a second yellow but I'm not sure it's up to Pedersen's level.

That was a dive. Even if there was contact it was never enough to make Torres react like that naturally.

Wasn't the player sent off already lucky to avoid a second yellow for a professional foul? I forget to be honest, I was switching back and forth between the two games...

I like Torres too... but that was pathetic. And I would say the same if it had been Cesc or any other Arsenal player.

Obviously. If there was any contact Torres would have to keep running to appear 100% natural!!

You missed the point mate... if there was any contact in that clip it would have been the slightest of touches and at worst would have made Torres bobble a little. Even looking to see contact it is questionable if there was any at all. There couldn't have been enough to go flopping to the ground like a fish out of water. Probably not enough in that to even knock a man off his feet.

Main point being, he made no effort whatsoever to stay on his feet and play acted to make it look worse than it was. That is beyond question in my mind, regardless of who the player is.
