Leno - 7 - not much he could do with the goals, left totally exposed. A world class save in the second half.
Cédric - 4 - just not the level of player who will ever be good enough for us. Showed why again today.
Holding - 4 - did nothing to help organise the defence and simply didn't get close enough to Lukaku. Also missed an easy goal opportunity
Marí - 2 - looked like he had never played with Tierney before. Weak and zero communication
Tierney - 1 - a second week of a terrible final ball, but the reason for the 1 was his shocking defending. Literally ignored James for the whole first half and let him run off him. That was so bad it is hard to describe. Watching the game live in the stadium and seeing how unintelligent he was as a defender was very worrying.
Lokonga - 8 MOTM - Class performance. Calm, good decisions, strong, good passing execution. a player.
Xhaka - 5 - a Xhaka performance. Nothing contributed really. meh.
Pépé - 2 - One of those performances. The crowd didn't even get very excited when he got the ball. You could see he had no idea and would produce nothing. I also thought Pepe was quick. He isn't. The defender had him in his pocket for pace.
Smith Rowe - 6 - some good moments. Control was good generally, but too slow with his big chance and at the end his head went down. You could see it clearly.
Saka - 4 - poor. Not anything like the player he was last year - yet. Today he was negative and unsure of himself
Martinelli - 5 - poor first half, pretty anonymous. Did better once Auba came on. But, also nowhere near the level we have seen him at.
Aubameyang - 6 - a bright start when he came on. Lots of energy, but couldn't sustain it. Had a half chance and honestly, the entire stadium knew he wouldn't score.
Tavares 6 - Would be higher if he played longer. he was tough, fast, decisive and quick to cut out danger. We got better when Tierney went off injured and Tavares came on.
Balogun - 2 - he had almost nothing to offer. Seeing him first hand my fears about him were confirmed. He's lazy and his first touch is abysmal.

Arteta - 2
- He simply could not afford to play 4 at the back today, but he did. It was obvious he needed to change it in the first half too. I have rarely seen a team so easy to waltz through as we were in the first half. It was quite uncomfortable to watch.

Referee - 0 - Quite simply he cheated openly for Chelsea... as did VAR.
