Where do I get driver updates from?

Postby Trina » Wed Dec 03, 2014 8:09 am

My sons laptop has 13 driver issues the dell download said. But it wants me to pay for the updates. Is there a site that will check and update/install the drivers for free?

As far as I know all driver updates are free. Could be something dodgy if it's asking you to pay for it.

I'm not aware of any paid drivers, doesn't make much sense if you already paid for the device and drivers are needed in order to use them so they should be free to download, specially if they are Dell.
Check this link and search for your son's laptop model to get to the latest drivers manually:

Hope that helps

Paying for drivers? I've never had to do this.

An hour later, all sorted and one happy boy. Much appreciated Max.

There are other updates I need to do but that can wait! It was mainly the graphics.

God knows what the heck I downloaded that was trying to charge me. Removed it anyway.

Glad I could help and good to know you were able to fix it.
