Well, nearly :P

And what one? 800 looks the sex. 710 less so, but still good for a cheap smartphone.

To be honest I don't know. He keeps trying to tell me how good it is with its internet and other apps.

Even with it's infuriating SIM failures I'd still have my iphone 4s.

I swear the 4S has more faults than any other iPhone. An example; my friend bought the 4S on day of release and has duly treated it like royalty. Always encased, never dropped or scratched, but yesterday the lock button decided to stop working. Unable to take the battery out without voiding the warranty, the only solution is travelling 40 miles to the nearest Apple store. Yes, postage is possible, but you'd be a fool to trust the Royal Mail with an iPhone.

Nearly bought an ASUS laptop yesterday. 8Gb Ram and 750Gb hard drive.

£450, I said if they'd let me have it for £400 then I'd take it. She checked with her manager who said no so I left it.

I'm still holding out for a 1TB laptop for under £500.

You just described me, ping clubs, nike outfit, but i really am rubbish!

PG Lol I tend to find my shots are better when i tell my buddies 'this is how champions do it' before i hit the ball..

@ Gza - im alright, not as good as some of my mates but you only get better by getting your arse kicked and playing more. Bought the driver because my old one was proper dented and too flexible, i hit with a lot of power and it was causing me to slice the ball because the head/shaft was flexing too much.

I usually have a consistency problem, ie short game good/driving shite or approach play great/putting well off. Ive made a resolution to play 18 holes every Sunday during the sunny months so by the end of this autumn, i should be further along than i am now.

Ive turned into a proper golf fiend!

Okay, not technically 'my next', but my own dear mother wants to get a smartphone. Of course I'd recommend waiting for the Lumia 610, but even that'll be a bit much (won't spend more than £50).
So I was scouting around, and I think I've found a bargain.

That bargain comes in the catchily named T-Mobile Rapport Champagne. However, details are a little thin on the ground, and I know mobile phone reps will tell you anything to get a sale.
Ergo, if anyone has any experience with the device then I'd be glad to hear it.

I think that the phone may actually be a rebranded Huawei Blaze. Can anyone confirm this? It's slightly important as built-in wifi would be a deal maker - still a little skeptical on battery life on an Android though, but hopefully the small 2.8" screen will sap the battery less than the monsters (Note, Nexus et al.).

Gb doh

Decided against it in the end, apparently processor wasn't great.

There is a samsung in pc world for £500 (£600 but claim back £100) which i'm also considering.

Think i'm going to sit tight for a bit longer.

Not bad for the price to be honest, but that battery life doesn't look so good...

That is why I was wondering about the processor, that is probably unbranded ram as well.

If you are going to spend £400+ on a laptop I would expect at least an intel i3 in it.

Laptops direct is a great site, I have bought my last 2 laptops from them. Give them a look if you have time.
