Just to be curious, you don't happen to have windows Vista or 7 and have shared it with anyone have you? There's a booby trap in both of those where MS (the ****) can detect if someone has shared an OS and they can disable it.
Nah Im the only one who uses my laptop mate.
@Zenith - Its a reconditioned laptop so I didnt get any software disks to re-boot it with. Im thinking I need to just fully wipe the thing and start from the beginning, so how could i do that without the windows disk? .......
You sound like your the man with the skills?
No, if you decide to format your entire laptop, make sure you have your software on cd or usb (I prefer CD though).
Don't get me wrong, you can format system without using any cd-rom (just right click on the drive you want to format) but you won't be able to install your new windows.
Just make sure, after downloading your windows, make sure to burn it on cd using "BOOTABLE" as option. To do so, I always used CDBurnerXP - don't get confused with the name of the burning software, it supports vista/win7 aswell.
I can get you a few illegal but reliable windows links, just tell me which operation system you prefer and I will take a look on warez.
