My stepdaughter has just come back from the Emergecny Department and has done the tendons in her hand from playing too much Guitar Hero.. :rofll: Now since the Wii and other movement games have come out there are loads of injuries people have been getting.. The only injury we got playing games during 80's - early OO.s was a punch when not handling the controller over.
So come on list your gaming injuries if you have had any....

Well you know on the olympic games, to do like the 1600M you have to spin the analogue stick round and round and round and round so I ended up taking the skin off my palm. Did that stop me? Hell no, I wanted the WR so a tea towel wrapped around my hand and game on!

Also my little brothers were playing Wii Baseball and 1 threw the ball and then the other swung to bat and he hit the bowler in the back of the head.

I have actually gotten mild tendinitis in my left thumb from playing Morrowind. You had to double click to crouch and sometimes it didn't work so you'd be doubling clicking a lot. I put countless hours into Morrowind and my thumb started getting really really sore.

Speedball 2 on the Megadrive. That game was so intense, i once punched a wall out of pure frustration after having led the whole game and being beaten in the last second (computer was impossibly thievish!).

The only game i actually used to get proper pad rage over, i lost a good few!

Frikkin loved that game....

Ah I have done my fair share of desk/wall/couch punching over games.

I had just started playing Madden and didn't know what the eff I was doing and my brother in law used to absolutely destroy me. At this time I had one of those old xbox batwing controllers (the huge things) and he was giving me an especially bad beating, I swung it around and smashed it off the ground, then punched the drawer on my desk full force. The controller actually took the beating, my hand swelled up like a balloon though.

How about injuries related to watching football?

Two years ago we came back from 1-0 down against Chelski. RvP got one back and I celebrated by jumping up and punching the ridiculously low ceiling! That was followed by hard clapping and banging the table just for the sake of creating some noise in this W****rs pub that was full of Chelski fans and cockney reds who were bizarly hoping that Chelski would win... anything to create some noise!

Instant broken hand! My hand swelled straight away. Still 20 minutes to go so there's no way I was missing the game. We were playing better and we really had a point to make as it was another case of "Arsenal won't even make fourth this season, they're no longer a big team"!!! A must win even if we were never gonna get the title!

The blood was pumping!

RvP scores again! I go f**king mental and make some more noise... with the same hand, and table, and ceiling

Thanks to alcohol and adrenaline (I get a little worked up during games, I'd hate to think what my heart rate was!) I didn't feel much pain at all. Nurses at the hospital had a good laugh about it though.

No nothing bad really.. sore thumb from playing Gran Turismo games on ps2, bloody endurance races. Demon's Souls hurt my pride many times however. I don't recommend it for you Est, you'd smash your hands to bits
