So, finally got one. It's awesome and I'm super impressed. Great resolution and the screen navigation is pretty neat.

Do a search as well now. There's Torrent/Downloadable files about the net, about 4 different ones "500 Books for Kindle" "Stephen King collection" etc etc.

I'm just about to download (Bought & Paid for) "The Concrete Grove" by Gary McMahon... New(ish) British Horror/Thriller writer.

I love reading and i would never see it as a replacement for my bookshelf but lets face it...ever tried to read on a bus, train or when you are camping or something? Its a nightmare.

I've had worse nightmares.
Why is it hard to read on a train or camping? I don't get it.
I would've thought it'd be easier to read a book on a tube because you don't have to constantly worry about someone snatching it.

As for iPads, they look cool but personally I like to type on a proper keyboard so I'd rather have one of those mini-laptop things.

You only need onehand to use it if you rest it on the ground
You need use two hands to read the f***er if it's a book

Just bought 3 books for Kindle, less than the price of one from Waterstones lol.

"The Concrete Grove" by Gary McMahon - £5.60.

"Two Tribes" by Ian Wright (Not, NOT That one) - £1.71.

"Yesterday's Gone: Episode 1" by Sean Platt and David Wright (Got a thing about Gooner Surnames) - 0.86p.

I was thinking about getting one... but being the tight wad that I am I decided not to, because it is cheaper to buy used paperback versions of the books I want.

You sure? You can get brand new books RRP: $15 for $3-5 for Kindle.

One of these books I bought (Two Tribes - £1.71) seems like it was written by a 12yr old for an English project...

Storyline is awesome but absolutely NO Prose... The Grammar/Spelling both terrible (he clearly has no editor) and his structure is ridiculous.

Feel sorry for the guy but he's clearly rushed a story and got it out via Amazon to make a quick buck... I've wasted almost £2...

HOWEVER it's given me an idea. I started working on a Sci-Fi pilot for a TV series and I'm now turning it into a piece of "Serialised Fiction". 100 pages per month and get it out that way

Only tend to read on holiday so I opt for free books from the library
