IMHO, Apple charges about 175% what they're product is actually worth... yet somehow get away with it. No wonder their stock is over $600 a share. In the last 13 weeks of 2011 they profited $13 billion after tax.

$1 billion in profits per week... think about that. :dizzy:

And people complain about the profits the oil companies make.

I'll never buy anything from Apple apart from shares of stock, and profit off the sheep that buy their over priced garbage.

Wow. Loads of apple fans on the board then! Any suggestions on good companies that I could order one from? I'd prefer to not give my money to dell or pc world, they are complete dicks going from my experienced with them in the past.

Overclockers UK have good custom PC's at reasonable prices. Even non-ultra gaming rigs which they mostly sell

To elaborate, ive got an Iphone 4, got loads of music on it, but those scabby bastards have stopped the ability to make your own ringtones, instead forcing you to buy them.

haha men! there is a software where you can cut your own ringtones and then save them as ringtones. so you can add them to your iphone and use it as ringtone.

I've got one which is called "Ringer" but I don't know if you find this software for pc.

I got my custom built Laptop through PC Specialist. They did a really nice job and you can also pay by finance.

I love their forums but as a shop I find them to be one of the most expensive. The only bonus with them is that they have great ties with suppliers and can get stock where others cannot. I found their custom PC's even more expensive, I saved loads of money putting mine together myself.

I buy all my components from aria as they are well priced and reliable delivery but of all the custom PC sites I have seen PCSpecialist seems the best value for what you get. When I finally get a new laptop I will probably use them or get the low level novatech gaming one.

SIMS: How long did they take to put your PC together?

Im going through the same situation as Inch was and would be interested to hear what you chose in the end Inch?

I went with a Dell XPS + Ultrasharp monitor and so far it's been fine. Nice and fast and very quiet.
Only a couple of false starts and no crashes.
Bear in mind though, I bought a particularly powerful one because I need to edit images that are 88MB in size. If you're not doing that you won't need to spend as much as I did.

Ironically you have had bad experiences with Dell whereas I have had bad experiences with custom built PCs.
I don't doubt that you can save a shit load of money by getting a custom built PC but when I tried to complain that there was a fault on my PC the company who built it had gone bust.
For all their faults that's unlikely to happen to Dell.
So it's up to you basically...
