My PC has been working fine since I bought it in May 2009. Since June 2009 no components have been changed and the unit hasn't been opened or even moved. Everything from then until now has been fine.
Today though when I loaded up I get this error right after the Bios loads up.
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
So I look for help on good old google and I do the recommended things like unplug/remove everything and put the hard disk as priority 1 in bios load but still it does the same thing.
So I find my Vista 32mb home premium disc and insert it like it starts to load but when it gets to the screen where it says Windows corporation and the disc starts to load with the green bar flashing across i freezes in the same place every time and eventually a blue screen comes up saying
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I have read speculation about what that means including symantec and graphics card issues but it can't be as I don't have symantec and my graphics card is fine plus nothing has even loaded yet to use it. This second error means I cannot fix the first.
Does anyone know what I can do?
