Want a Windows phone around the size of iPhone

Don't care about games, camera etc.

Best Option? Or is there a new one coming out soon?

Me too. Don't need to bring my charger anywhere as it actually holds onto its battery and it runs smoothly. Don't like how Google want to link everything though

Yeah the battery on mine lasts 3 days it's great. Friends have to take their chargers to work, keep them in their cars etc because their iphones die after a few hours.

Only real complaints are the lack of a SD card slot and the google voice thing which I always activate by accident.

You could grind diamonds with these phones, things just didn't break.

done alot of phone support in my jobs over the year....
i always have 2g phone though haha :o.

here what i think of phones atm.
Has to be either Iphone 5 or 5S v Samsung Galaxy S4 or 5 V HTC 1
HTC1 im told has the hardware edge. Its probably got the spec of an old XP PC which is impressive. 4GB of ram and a good Processor multi cored.
I had my first Galaxy last year was an S2 and once i got used to it I loved it. Much more than an Iphone.

Would prolly choose S4 or S5. Maybe look at HTC1 heard some good things from guys working with me about that phone....
I just never bought into HTC because they have released a load of garbage in the past.

ALWAYS HP for computers too ;O with extended warranty if buying brand new.

Ye the linking of accounts in IT with Google FB etc is a major issue for me. Huge invasion of privacy. I actually delete my FB for reasons such as this recently...
Have removed alot of google account features too.

example I have my ex missuses contact list emailed to me every f***ing day by FB asking me if i want to add half of f***ing spain to my FB. I had unsubscribed multiple times too from the emails they send suggesting to add this that.... me and the ex arent even friends on FB anymore.

Think im getting it for free now.

FLOSSIN

IF 4G is anything like 3G in UK or even worse 3G in Ireland would stay f***ing well clear of it.
Issues I have with 3G when in london in partic are constant signal drops(iphone refresshing pinwheeling).
Basically the 3G networks are shit, the ISPs rely on customers not realizing there losing connection or lagging to an insane level during the day especially.
Just not worth the money they charge for it. Phone ISPs like the main ones in UK and IRE are IT and Networking gangsters.
There fully aware of the issues but wont spend to upgrade due to cost of putting mobile masts in etc.

Main issue with 3G networks are wireless based obviously, internet connections at home run over copper wire in the ground or fibre cabling running in electricity poles. Because the networks are wireless is causes alot of these issues IMO and alot of cost issues for the ISP. I try to stay away from using Wireless as much as possible to be honest, good old RJ45 cable does me. cant beat it

I worked for a MNC in Ireland for Several years. I advised our directors/management not to spend vast sums of money on these products which they were about to do...... My professional opinion on 3G has changed little since then.

From what colleagues in other countrys such as Belg, Holland, France told me that 3G services in these countrys have pretty much always been top notch, im referencing UK and IRE networks only here.

The HTC M8 looks gorgeous, I'm currently on the M7 & reaching the end of my contract. It's been hands down the best phone I've ever had.
My mate has the M8 and has been blown away by it. I've a month or two to decide but it'll be either the M8 or new Samsung.
The wife hasn't long had a new Nokia Windows phone which also looks good.
