i-phone and apps

Talk about mobile phones, DVDs, PCs or anything "techy"

Well take, take into account what a 16GB iPhone 3GS costs, thats about £500 already, then 18 months of txt's, Internet and Calls if you were Pay as You Go...

Personally i don't think their would be much change, if any, if you went the other route.

I still wouldn't buy an iPhone however, even the old 8GB ones cost almost double what the similar iPod Touch costs and as far as i can see, they just don't have the phone, and in actual fact they do, as you can buy a Hands Free kit on them and use Skype...

iPod Touch = Great
iPhone = Con

Im not bloody made of money I will look at the nokia alternatives. I dont think Apple is anything special, its just that their devices are trendy. Sure they do some things other devices cant, but they should when you consider how much they cost.

Nokia haven't really updated for a while, try Samsung. I've got one of those touch screen, do it all phones for free via Three network. Half or maybe more of the features I will never use! Unlimited internet, phone and texts for (I think it was) £18 a month. Music player and I don't know what else that flies way over my head!

I see there is an arseblog app for the I-phone. Who do we have to sleep with to get a goonersworld one made?

The arseblog app doesn't work on my iPod for some reason, whenever I try to load it it goes back to the homescreen. :(

So I just went on arseblog via safari and added it to the homescreen.

does GW suck for everyone else on their iPhone, or is it just mine? it loads super slow and the typing on message boards is VERY delayed.

Was working fine on the Droid for a long long time and then the past week it's been very delayed while typing out a message... seems fine today though.

Use the quick reply box Texaz, other than that GW is actually ok for me on my Ipod Touch.

The forum itself was a little slow for a few days, so that may have been the cause, not the I-phone.

GunnGunn, I'm hoping you might be able to help me here, I downloaded WinSCP, SSH and Wifi are on green on my menu thingy, my iPod is plugged into the PC, I put the Wi-Fi IP address from my iPod into the WinSCP bit, but in "root" as the username and "alpine" as the password but it didn't work. Apparently I might have to install BSD Subsystem and Community Sources, but to install BSD I need Installer from SOSiPhone, strangely that's not on there when I looked.

Was talking about the Droid no the iPhone. I'm an Apple hater as Steve Jobs is a w*nker.

Surprisingly the forum is actually faster on my new HTC Desire than it is on my laptop (no lie!). They really weren't lying when they said it'd be the fastest browsing experience.
