Bendtner : I’ll never return to Arsenal

Bendtner : I’ll never return to Arsenal

Postby Trina » Fri Sep 02, 2011 10:51 am

NICKLAS BENDTNER has vowed: "I'll never go back to Arsenal."

The Dane, who made a deadline-day loan move to Sunderland, once labelled himself one of the best strikers in Europe.

But he says he became a forgotten man under Arsene Wenger ever since he had a car crash two years ago.

Bendtner wrote off his Aston Martin and injured his legs and shoulder.

And he believes that was the beginning of the end of his Gunners career.

Bendtner, 23, said: "I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again.

"After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team.

"That is over 1½ years with no real chance to prove myself.

"I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer.

"I will find a new club — but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."

So sad and i feel for Bendy. Wenger should have used him a lot more than he did.

That's shocking if true. I didn't know he had that much bitterness towards the club.
He definitely should've started much more than he did, especially when Chamakh was contributing absolutely f**k all.

Hope Sunderland give him regular starts in the right position. If they do he'll have to prove Wenger wrong though.

Not smart of him if he really said that, but he's right in a way. He was given some chances up top and failed at alot of them, and then was good at others, but then Wenger started playing him on the wing it kind of ruined all his potential.

Where's GunnGunn......

Oh well I didn't think he would have excelled at Arsenal, perhaps at another club. I didn't really think that England was for him really.

It's a crying shame. Wenger ruined his chances of being a decent striker by throwing him out on the wing all the time. Him up top partnering RvP in a 4-4-2 would have been excellent as they'd both be providing crosses for the other to be on the end of.

Further proof (if it were needed) that Wenger has lost his marbles.

I think you all give him too much credit. He wouldnt have been a 'great' Arsenal striker. Heck probably not even an Anelka! id say a Kevin Campbell or Perry Groves. Or a Reyes at best.

Agree with that.

Bendtner is a 4-4-2 striker, not a 4-3-3 striker. He showed that when he played alongside Eduardo and Vela.

I really think him and RvP could have had a superb parternship but obviously it wasn't meant to be.

All i know is, he is 50x the striker Chamakh will ever be and i hope he does well for Sunderland.

What's the odds on him being top scorer this season? What, he'll be one of the top strikers in the world.

Not that i love him or i even rate him but he clearly had it all to be a top striker but he's not better than RVP so he had to leave to develop by being first choice.

What him fly now. He is way overconfident but it will end up still going right for him in the end.

he'll use Sunderland as a stepping stone, then a big club will buy him for 20/30 million next summer! Probably Bayern.
