Wenger - Never say never on Bendtner return
By Chris Harris
Arsène Wenger will not rule out the prospect of Nicklas Bendtner returning to play for Arsenal.
The Danish striker was linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium throughout the transfer window and eventually secured a loan deal with Sunderland.
Bendtner - ineligible for Sunday's game at Emirates Stadium - has hinted that he may never pull on an Arsenal shirt again. Wenger is not so sure.
“In our job, you never say never," he said. "You do always what is right for your club. If it is right for the Club to get Nicklas Bendtner back, the Club will do it.
“I know Nicklas very well. I like him as a player. I know as well that he likes to talk but that is part of his personality. You will never get that out of him.
“It will not only depend on us, it will depend on him. But we are not there yet – there is a long way to go. He is at Sunderland for the season – we wish him well. It is important he plays, he has quality and he must show that."
