Clubs Interested In Bendtner

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has emerged as a top target for three leading German clubs, after failing to find consistent form and establish himself in manager Arsene Wenger’s starling XI – according to a report in The Daily Mail.

Bendtner could be heading for a summer exit from the Emirates unless he can quickly force his way into Wenger's plans, with Bayern Munich, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund all monitoring the Dane’s situation in North London.

The 23-year-old has frequently expressed his desire to become a regular in the Arsenal first-team, although when he has been given the opportunity to shine his response has been somewhat inconsistent, with indifferent form mixed in with some significant contributions. The return of Robin van Persie from injury has restricted his chances, with Marouane Chamakh also competing for a striking role.

Bendtner has been valued at €11.5 million, and it is believed that Wenger would find it hard to turn down an offer that matched that figure.

€11.5 million for someone who isnt worth anywhere near that? Id take it.

I think he'll be off in the summer, especially if we win nothing again. Bundesliga would be good for him, it's his level. Be nice if it ends in a bidding war. Straight swap for Subotic please

Wouldn't mind seeing him at Dortmund but I doubt he'd start over Barrios, be good 2 strikers to have unless they sell Barrios which I hope not. I think he could do well in the Bundesliga.

This pisses me off... Why sell him? Why was Chamakh picked before him w/ RvP's injury?

Bendtner this past season has not been given the games he deserves and when he has "disappointed" he's been lynched.

Bendtner's grown on me recently (don't think I've been more pissed off with any Arsenal player while they were still playing for us than I was with Bendtner a couple of years ago), and he seems likeable in an arrogant t***er kind of way, but to be honest, if we got a decent price for him and could replace him, then I'd say let him go

I'd say let him go if I thought Wenger would replace him, but we all know he won't. JET will be his replacement. I like JET and have been excited about having him in the first team squad, but he is totally untested and nowhere near as ready to make an impact as Bendtner.

If Nik goes this summer then Wenger has messed up again.

True but if we did replace him it would be decent business. Especially if we replaced him with a striker closer to van Persie's quality than either Chamakh or Bendtner's.

As Max has mentioned him already, if we brought in someone like Barrios I'd be chuffed. He can play lone striker well and Wenger might even be persuaded to go 442

I'd like to keep him if we played him as a striker, since he often plays wide he's wasted. That aside I think he'll want to leave, he isn't playing as much as he wants and no way on Earth van Persie will be dropped for him, well as long as he's healthy.

Like PG I don't see him being replaced by anyone other than some obscure player most people know nothing about.

Because Bendy was injured at the same time.

Yeah Bendy has been poor at times but has shown what he can do, go to 442 and sure we'll see the best of him and Chamakh.

This :hail:

Otherwise, let him go and replace him. Replace him being the key word as RVP and Chamakh won't be enoough to challenge for anything next season.

If any of those clubs were to offer good money I think it would be a good deal for all parties.
Bendtner gets to be main attraction
Arsenal get good money
And the buying club gets a hungry striker looking to make his mark.
And the Bundesliga would be a great league for him to showcase his talents.

Agreed. Why fight to keep him and then not play him? Then when he is played he is often played out of position. If we got a decent price, and IF we replaced him, then I say do it.
