FABIO CAPELLO was last night warned not to mess with Jack Wilshere's international future.

The appeal came from Wilshere's Arsenal team-mate Nicklas Bendtner, who has been unimpressed with England's treatment of Gunners pal Theo Walcott.

Boss Capello is set to hand Wilshere, 19, his first start and only second cap against Denmark tonight.

But Dane Bendtner said: "Theo can be a lesson for the way you treat Jack. It's important to take it easy and realise he is a kid, even though he seems very mature."

Walcott, 21, was left out of last year's World Cup squad - with Capello since admitting it was the wrong decision.

Bendtner added: "Theo has done well to cope with everything that has been thrown at him. He's always very grounded.

"Youngsters are always put under a lot of pressure very early in England but Jack can be a great, great player for his country."

Meanwhile, Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen insists Danish team-mate Bendtner, 23, is finally learning after a string of "boll***ings" from international team boss Morten Olsen.

Sorensen said: "He's made mistakes in the team, in training and he's had a fair amount of boll***ings but he seems to pick it up and that's what you want to see."
