Just what is going on?

Well Mannone has lost his place, even before he spoke to the Italian Media, has been given the cold shoulder all season by AW, hasn't played in the Reserves, and hasn't even made the bench in Als absence, he just seems to have disappeared off the radar.

So just what the hell is AW playing at? Why the hate for Mannone? And why the love for the spoilt brat who threatened to leave if he wasn't immediately made Number 1?

Mannone hasn't even been mentioned on the International watch on Arsenal.com, despite keeping yet another 2 clean sheets for Italy U-21, thats 5 clean sheets in the 6 games he has played btw, so he hasn't been injured...

He also was solid in pre-season and saved a penalty and still no recognition?

Why hasn't he gone on loan if he has been relegated to 4th choice? Why has he been relegated to 4th choice?

Wenger knows sweet sweet FA about keepers, that's what's going on...

I seriously don't rate Wenger's ability to evaluate keepers at all. Maybe they looks great in training, I don't know. But from what I see on TV and in reserve matches (when I can get them on stream) Wenger has the keeping order more or less backwards.

Maybe keep Al as the #1 because of his experience and perhaps The Don and Sneezy aren't ready, but Flappy should be 4th, and either The Don or Sneezy #2.

Dunno. But maybe AW has his own views on it.
Seems to me the only gripe Vito really has is that he wasn't sent on loan. Maybe he's been slack in training? Maybe Chesny's been excellent in preseason and training and just nudged him out?
He'd be a happier bunny if we'd've loaned him out.

All true about ambition etc, but Wenger has seen his keepers make blunder after blunder and still do nothing about it. If he could get rid of our keepers and stick in another attacking midfielder he would. The man wants a squad made up of nothing but AM's.
