Chant for Arshavin

Haha, just ask yourself if you'd be prepared to sing your heart out with that.

It's almost as bad as the version of the Family Guy theme tune changed for Flamini that we saw on here.

I think that's even worse than the original post.

I'm just waiting for "Arshavin, Arshavin, running down the wing..." to pop up.

We're so unoriginal it's untrue.

Come on then, be creative. post one yourself. else keep stum. Judge not lest ye be judged... :hiding:

Dear God, you're kidding right?

Tell me you're kidding...

I find most chants cringeworthy at the best of times. I think I might actually weep about that one if I think about it for too long :hiding:

Surely people posting their ideas on here, opens themselves up to criticism from others?

Anyway, why does Arshavin need his own song yet? We've not got any decent ones for any of our top players, except maybe the Adebayor one, which is a rip-off of United's Ronaldo one anyway.

What's the point in trying to start a song, when nobody in the ground sings anyway.

Well that mentality isnt going to help, havent you visited Tescos, and realised that "Every little helps"

But i guess when everyone else starts singing you'll follow suit then.

Of course Arshy or Andri or whatever were gonna call him needs a song. Im stilll waiting for you to give us your chant for Arshy

I've started many a song, don't you worry about that ;)

But there's a real rot at our place at the minute, and no amount of cheesey, half-arsed shit attempts at changing it, are going to make an ounce of difference.

The first post you quoted was about New songs - we've had one decent new song in the last 4 or 5 seasons. The rest is the same regurgitated crap we were singing back then.

The second post is starting songs in the ground that people do sing. Basically, if you're loud and wasted, people will sing with you. I am loud, and usually wasted - so people will sing. But sing a song they don't know, or something shit like everything in this thread, I doubt very much.

And is 'Arshy' not the gayest thing since Liverpool's 'Nando' :dontknow: ?

I wrote that one....

:hiding:

I actually think it's quite a good idea to use Rasputin as the basis for an Arshavin song because of the Russian connection and the fact that both their names end with 'in'.
Also, the whole crowd will know it.
Just needs better lyrics that's all.

Flamini's name has the same number of syllables and even starts with the same letter as 'Family'.
It was just too tempting to resist....

:lipssealed:

It wasn't that bad a song :snooty: but to be fair I knew at the time that no-one would ever sing it.

Oh I'll get me coat. :disgust:
