3 goals and 2 assists in 8 matches. The same as he has here in 26 appearances here.
Rest in Peace SE13 :(

Here's the thing... Your title "Arshavin is in superb form AT ZENIT".

He's back home... Of course he's in superb form. I have very little doubt that form will go back to his latest for us, should he return.

Hopefully this will boost his value. I like him, and he's given us some great memories (beating Barcelona, 4 goals v Liverpool), but he'll be better off at another club.
I'm out, pushed before I could jump.
It was fun.

Burn short, burn bright.
Always Arsenal.

My other haunt.

Says it all really.
His problem was clearly with the Prem, the club or living in the UK. His talent didn't suddenly vanish, he just couldn't adapt for whatever reason.
Can't see how that would change if he came back again.

Play him centrally perhaps.

That could work to a certain degree and for a certain length of time but if as suspected, adaptation is the issue - It won't last...

Are we really going to have the "He was played out of position" argument?

Playing a defender up front, could be a case for that... But Arshavin was just a little "to the left", he wasn't exactly well out of position enough that he couldn't get his game on.

its much easier to put walcott, gervinho or chamberlain on the wings to track back with a pacey fullback or wide midfielder countering, to expect arshavin to do so is not well thought out at all and that is why he should be played centrally

I was never anything to do with his position.
He was playing in the exact same position when he scored 4 goals at Anfield and for the next 20 games after that when he was brilliant.
His poor form is nothing to do with where he played on the pitch.

That was 2 and a half years ago. His stamina is ruined on the outside, that's everything to do with his form. Even Ronaldo can't pull of his magic when tired.

I'm glad he's doing well, it's where he belongs and plays best though. Hopefully he keeps the form up so it will booster his price tag, he's getting on a bit now to so 10 mill? And we'll be laughing to the bank

It says in the Mail that we want 8 million for him. Not sure we will get that. Unless he does well in the Euros.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

+100

Not saying we should keep him, it's too late for that.
I'm pretty sure we would have seen a diffirent AA23 if he would actually had the chance to play on his natural position, the position where he played for his entire career before joining us [CAM].
