Selling Arshavin

What do you think of Arshavin's current form?
Some believe it's so bad that we should sell him while he's still worth good money.
Is that a bit harsh or has he mentally given up?
He has been playing through an injury lately but he does look lazy in some games.

There's no questioning his talent, but does the 4-3-3 work for him? Is this second season syndrome?
How long would you give him and how patient are you?

RVP, Bendy and Chamakh would be tasty.

They can all interchange with each other, play on the wing or CF and proven goal scorers and would be decent in the air.

Our attack would be even more formidable with 3 hardworking strikers as forwards, rather than 1 striker and 2 midfielders as forwards.

The midfield will then be Cesc, Nasri (Diaby & Rosicky as back up) & Song.

Defence picks itself.

U leaving Arshavin on bench for bendtner? (i know, arshavin is getting way too lazy..but still..)

Arshavin is a lazy bastid, he can be a super sub with Theo

This might be contraversial, but I'd honestly sell Arshavin while we can still get something for him.

Thats what is so frustrating about him. He can pull something out of nothing and you don't want to lose that, but at the same time, he looks like he wants to be somewhere else and loses the ball on sloppy lazy passes too much for me. I'd rather play Nasri there to be honest. At least he will give you 100% for 90, instead of 70% for 60.

Wenger needs to sit Arshavin down and talk about how his attitude can get to fans, from the way he carries himself, to how he responds when loosing the ball.
like he did with eboue, who had a negative, slightly cheating attitude, wenger sat him down and had a chat, now the boy puts 100% in to every match, even if he is not always a starter.

I don't agree, there was no end product with Hleb but really we should be having this debate in an Arshavin thread.

I just felt like throwing that in there to see reactions! I think Hlebs last season until he knew he was going he did a lot more than Arswaxin has done this season.

Re: Selling Arshavin

I think selling him this summer would be a massive mistake and very hypocritical of Wenger considering the time he has for his favourites.

Yes he is committing the biggest sin for a player in england: lazyness, but he is a luxery player. We knew this when we bought him. He's never going to chase back and when he does it's actually detrimental to the team because he's shit at tackling. What he SHOULD do however is help with pressing and covering space/interceptions. Wenger should have a word in his ear about that.

I say he should be given next season

I would give him until the Jan transfer window, if he doesn't improve his work rate and look like he actually wants to play football then he needs to be off. Yes he can create something out of nothing, but he doesn't do it enough for me when we could have someone else in that position that works hard, doesn't give the ball away, and tracks back to help defend. Plus, injury or not his stamina is shit.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he'll be gone in the summer anyway.
