Urban, a little Gooner from my home country of Slovenia, needs your help. He was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called CTNNB1, which results in severe intellectual and motor disability. A team of researchers has offered to work on a possible treatment with gene therapy technology, but as you may know, this is an extremely costly endeavour and it doesn't get enough funding because of the disease's rarity. As a physician myself, I cannot tell you how frustrating it is when the potential technology to help our patients is there, but there's just no financial interest to invest in its development.

The money you donate will not only help Urban, but once the treatment is developed, will be able to help others with this disease as well.
