He played a huge role in shaping Seattle into what it is today.

Amazing to think that only two weeks ago, he and his doctors sounded optimistic. Goes to show that no matter how obscenely rich you are, cancer doesn't discriminate.

Did the commentary on PES for this of you who have played it.

R.I.P.

Provided the backing track of my childhood.

Was a solid commentator
Back in 1985 he covered our fa cup 3rd round tie at Hereford
These were in the days when loads of fans who never went to away games would make a point of turning out for the fa cup
I went up on the train on the Friday night with an uncle and a couple of mates
We stayed in a remote farm house a couple of nights
We were in a pub about an hour before kick off and asked behind the bar for a cab
After much scratching off heads to recall the cab number it turned out it was a code busting
Hereford 54321!
We had a seat at the ground
They had possibly the widest pitch in the league at the time and you had to lean over the rail to see the lines.
They paraded a prize bull which proceeded to shit on the pitch
Early in the game we were under the cosh
Hereford hit the post
Robson and mariner were involved in getting the ball forward to woodcock who swivelled and scored an absolute beauty.
It should have settled us but Hereford equalised and it took an acrobatic tip over farm lukic to earn a replay
There was a spot of mild hooliganism after the game which was de rigour at the time
We found refuge in an Indian restaurant
Don't know what Hereford is like now but it was hardly the hub of international playboys then
I believe we were back in the room with a few tins and an 8th by 8pm watching little and large
I think we watched it on the big match in that pub again on the Sunday before heading off to the station
At least we knew the cab number
We won the replay 7-2 at Highbury
Long winded but it stood out when new commentators came on the scene
Peter brackley would do bigger games in more glamorous climbs
But I remember a cold weekend in Hereford God bless him

Just heard that.

He was great as that long-suffering character.

RIP

Thought he was much older considering his role as Hyacint's husband and that was ~25 years ago.

KUA was hugely popular in Belgium from its initial air date until many years later.

It was popular here but much more successful as an export
