They completely broke out my upper jaw and moved it forward and reattached to my face with screws

That's a proper oldskool operation

My mum was offered that in the 70s but turned it down

She has had significant dental problems... I don't know if maybe choosing not to have the operation is a factor in those problems
Oh he is awful..... but I like him!

Ah, shit nuggets, I need something like that to align my upper and lower jaw but my balls are smaller than yours.

Don't want to break anything I don't have to, they haven't told me it's bad enough to affect the health of my teeth, more cosmetic so not worth it atm.

Hope you feel better soon bud

Is your lower jaw in front of your top jaw?

If the top of your teeths arent damaged and the aesthetics isnt a problem then i wouldnt recommend doing the surgery

Yeah, I have a brace on atm. It's gone from lower jaw being ahead, to them being in line, to the lower now being slightly ahead again due to bringing a tooth forward on the bottom.

Main issue is they don't meet, so the worst problem is that I have a gap when I smile more than any over/under bite. They're gonna try and bring it closer with some strong bands but need to see the final result before I decide about any operation. Seems like not worth it atm.

Nice. Seems exactly like my situation. Got the difference as minimal as possible with braces.

You are lucky though. If the difference is very minimal then only the upper jaw would need surgery. With large gaps double jaw surgery is needed which is f***ing brutal from what ive seen
