I think you left out Alan Rickman

Also, it's not international but it's been a big year in South Africa:

March 31: Courts find Public Projector's resolution binding, President Zuma must pay back the money embezzled to fund his homestead upgrades.

August
Democratic Alliance win major metros Tshwane, Nelson Mandela Bay and Johannesburg in local elections, marking the first time the ANC lost these cities.

October
FeesMustFall protests reach boiling point as first death happens inside a residence hall.

Students March to Parliament on 26 October and the Finance Minister announces extensive increases to funding for higher education

November
The State of Capture Report is released incriminating President Zuma in grand scale corruption and the selling of cabinet positions to the Gupta family

LOL at this thread ...........

JANUARY - New girlfriend but at that stage where you haven't actually said it yet, she awaits the day.

FEBRUARY - Valentines, I make a nice romantic gesture and as a new couple she gives me 8 orgasm coupons, in the next 24 hrs I use at least 6 of them, if I were paying by the hour I'd of spent the mortgage money that day.

MARCH - Everything going well I meet the family at a wedding.

APRIL - She has a hen doo in Tenerife, first big test of our relationship, she asks to move in.

MAY - She moves in, everything ok

JUNE - Not great, sleeping patterns not compatible and she wants to take over decorations in my new house, I put foot down.
Brexit happens and UFGN's world collapses, I try to be there for him.

JULY - Not great have bust ups weekly.

AUGUST - Party month, Stag doo in Essex, we go to Sugar Hut have the best weekend ever, week 3 is the wedding, cousins down and we again go on a mad one, week 4 my birthday and we have a boat party ...... again another mad one, work suffers.

SEPTEMBER - Relationship just isn't going anywhere and I spend half the time trying to remember how happy I was before she moved in, take out my frustrations on members of Gooners World.
She moves out by end of month.

NOVEMBER - New flat mate who I know, relieved shes gone and she wonders why I'm not chasing after her, see her a few times but relief is so strong that shes out of my space that I wouldn't care if I ever saw her again, need to get myself back in shape and get back to being the man about town again that I was when I met her and life was fkin rosey.
Trump is elected President and for the 2nd time this year UFGN's world is in pieces on the floor, Communism has obviously had its day, again I try to console him but again he pushes me and Rowdy away.

Don't say I don't let you guys in, better than paying for a shrink session anyway.

Other than 2009, I can't remember so many famous people/megastars dying in a single year in recent memory.

On a side note: I can't believe it's almost been eight years since Michael Jackson's death. He, along with The Beatles and Elvis, were the most iconic musicians since the classical period. Larger than life. I wonder who 2017 will claim. ffs, we need another legendary musician to come along soon.
