Nine inch nails covered I can't give everything away this week at their show in Bakersfield la and U2 covered heroes in Berlin last night.
Scott walker is being honoured at the proms like Bowie was last year on Tuesday night
Hoping it's better than the Bowie one which was a bit patchy
Scott walker and Bowie influenced each other greatly
They have been playing a lot of his stuff on 6 music today and I have to say his overripe torch song dramas are right up my street

Hi zenith
Just came across some interesting footage I have not seen before

Fame
Hallo spaceboy and I'm afraid of Americans

What a bizarre crowd - very zany. Bowie must have been laughing his head off on the inside! Clearly didn't stop him from delivering a cracking performance. Really like this more industrial version of Fame.

Thanks zenith
Yes
1998 but it could well have been 1980's
So cheesy and naff is the set up with midgets and pole dancing
He looks the straightest guy in the room
Didn't see too much footage from this period and very glad that the haircut I am now sporting I can claim as a Bowie cut
Another fine collaboration I missed from this period was the song truth he did with goldie
I heard it on 6 music on Saturday and thought" bloody hell I missed that one" it's a lovely slice of ambient electronica with a passionate Bowie vocal
Can you right the wrong please mate?

Yes goldie seems enamoured by Bowie without being overawed
They have put out a stream this week in advance of the box set a new career in a new town being released on Friday
It feature a soundboard ep from Berlin 78
Be my wife/ sense of doubt/ breaking glass
Don't know if you can post it?
It's pretty damn good

Took a while to find the audio files but well worth the effort - I'm impressed with the audio quality.

Combined all three songs in the same video with a low key film damage effects over the picture to dress it up a bit.

If you were referring to the Live Stream Event itself, I managed to capture that as well but won't be able to upload it before next week as I'm not a premium member on Vimeo.

With Bowie's birthday coming up on the 8th I felt a little bump was merited.

One of those hidden ambient gems I believe we haven't added yet? Though initially recorded for the TV series Buddha of Suburbia, I can't help but think The Mysteries could also work as a tone-setter for a Twin Peaks scene.

Eases the mind after a frenetic Wednesday night game of football. :whew:

Lovely ambient piece zenith
Seems that suburban boredom led to a lot of ambitious imagination
I think we have lost a little of this now with the advent of social media
No need to be bored anymore
Just boring
There is a series starting on bbc1 Saturday night called hard sun
Luther creater Neil cross said the show was inspired by bowie's five years
Anything like Luther and it's well worth a watch

Just came across beck reimagining sound and vision with an orchestra and gospel singers
It was from 2013 but I have never seen it
It's pretty damn good
Beck was good at the music weekend thing
His band had a blast during where it's at breaking into sister sledge. Gary Numan , Phil Collins even

Starman pack in the Phil Collins shit man. Unacceptable to just casually drop that muppet's name :naughty:

What next? "Cliff Richard's early stuff was pretty good yadayada"

As odd as it sounds, it appears we're yet to add Sound and Vision to the thread.

Hereby a good occasion to fill the lacuna. :)
