What these people are doing is not even recognisable to any mainstream muslim cause, its a political terrorist back water group that has no association with anyone outside of Sri Lanka, they may have contacts in Pakistan if that but this is really a local issue and Islam just happens to be their religion, the real issue is a power struggle between local factions who live like its the 1930's.
All that type of language does is feed the Right Wing agenda against normal muslim's.
To compare we didn't tie the IRA into Catholics worldwide, we didn't call them Catholic Extremists or slag off every normal joe Irishman.
No muslims in the Middle East, Turkey or anywhere know anything about or have any association with what these 3rd world Jungle rats are doing, its a local power struggle that's all.

The Provisional IRAs cause was/is not religiously motivated.
They were/are an Irish Republican paramilitary organisation who’s aim was/is the end of British rule on the island of Ireland. Nowhere in their aims is anything about religion mentioned. In fact a good number of their leadership are/were traditionally Marxist revolutionary in their ideals, and so opposed to any sort of religious influence on the state.
