This conversation started out about Hollands law, we're discussing the Western World not the back streets of Thailand.

The women in the seedy windows in the red light district are not the sort that cynical gooner describes.

Actually they are. They are not the sort that you describe

As there’s no way to prove it either way we’ll agree to disagree.

But I’ve seen them, and they’re definitely not earning fortunes from middle class men. They’re getting €30 from dirty old men and washing their fanny in a bucket behind a curtain.

Were you the dirty old man? because this reads like a "I'm just asking for a friend" type of story.

That and you and Cyn seem to be comparing notes on the subject and Cyn is obviously experienced, he's like the Sensei of Whoredom such is his knowledge.

Been to Amsterdam countless times over the past 30 years or so. Mostly with large groups of lads, many of whom used the girls in the windows.

I’ve also sat in bars in the red light district and seen the sort of clientele they get. Let’s just say if you were thinking of using them, that would be enough to put you off.

I dunno. Maybe I have a soft heart for women. I just find it pretty sad.

Oh yes, the grand master :smartass:

I've actually never paid for sex because that defeats the point for me. But I've also been to 'dam a bunch of times and seen it all and heard it all. Far as I know the rates start at €50 for 20 mins. Wish I could make 150 per hour minimum.

I also know a couple of 'sex workers' and know the kind of money they bring in for not a lot of work. They are not lying down legs spread at the end of a conveyer belt

They sell their nudes online. They have fansites set up for idiots to send them donations. And they might f**k 3 or 4 lucky lucky boys per week if they can afford it (£200+)

If that's not a morally corrupt business model, I don't know what is.

What kind of fairytale pimp/madam lets the girls keep 100% of what they make?

Also, if your pricing starts at 20mins, that's because most dudes are busting in less than that time. So unless you're able to f**k 3 dudes in no more than 60 mins, and can continue doing that for 8 hours a day, every single day, then you're probably not cut out to be a whore.

No idea what point you are trying to make tbh. Those red light girls work for themselves, and rent whatever room/flat they are working out of. They likely only work 3 or 4 days a week and probably only for a few hours a night. That's enough to make a living.

You make it sound like they are battery hens. The reality isn't quite the narrative you are forging there

The computers you use. The clothes you wear. The dishes you eat off.

Probably all made from some sweatshop child laborers in China and SE Asia.

Bro, that's capitalism. There are winners (camgirls, us buying products) and there are losers (people paying for internet sex, child laborers).

TL;DR: Humanity is morally corrupt and always has been.

Royal Gooner is obviously talking nonsense but moral nihilism is a horrible rebuttal.

It's quite simple. I'm a liberal. I want people to be as free as possible. That freedom includes people having ownership of their own bodies and consenting adults being free to make whatever transactions they want to make. I certainly don't want the state to interfere and decide what people ought to do.

Legalize all sex work.
Legalize all drugs.
Legalize euthanasia.

Why? Because it's none od your business to tell people what they ought to do with their lives. Live and let live.

How is what I said moral nihilism? I guess even the TL;DR wasn't explicit enough.

I pointed out the hypocrisy in RG's statement that he shouldn't condemn one practice when he partakes in a similar system (the exploitation of workers in poor countries) without—I'm assuming—a second thought.

Sometimes, it's useful to take a different approach instead of beating a dead horse (i.e., all of us except RG and Phil circle-jerking that prostitution shouldn't be illegal).

May not seem like much, but it's one of the most incredible photos of our lifetimes tbh

And the most valuable information gets lost on religious fanaticism and armchair moral policing based on incredible works of fiction.

Could be your best ever post on this forum.

Well done, you've finally figured out that your own feelings don't get to decide what is moral and what is not.

Is it really what they think it is though?

I've studied some of this stuff and they make these big announcements yet when you dig a little deeper that's sometimes all that they are ........... grand gesture announcements.

Are all the scientists in agreement that its a Black hole?

Why do I say this for e.g, they announced the Big Bang as fact when its not, I once had a conversation with an Cosmologist who explained to me that not all scientist accept that model and can even offer counter evidence, but the most popular theory prevails as standard.
