It depends how he carries himself.

If he is genuinely strong and able to handle himself, he will be feared. If you have already cold-bloodedly murdered 50 people, and you’re never getting out, one more is not going to make a difference.

I’d suggest the only people he’d have to fear are radical Muslim prisoners. I’d guess there’s not a whole lot of those in New Zealand.

Prisons are generally not full of justice heroes. If anyone does have a go at him it’ll be because of something he’s done to them personally or one of their friends, or it’ll be some idiot trying to make a name for themselves.

But Lifer and long sentence wings in high security prisons tend to be a lot quieter and more orderly than other wings. Inmates in those wings have for the most part settled down for a life inside, and primarily opt for as easy a life as they can get.

It’s the lower security, lower category wings that tend to be full of idiots who want to cause as much mayhem and disruption as they can.

Of course we do have the Maori factor in this case. I’m sure his white superiority theories might not go down too well with some of those inmates.

But those in charge of him will be extremely conscious of the fact that they are responsible for delivering him in one piece to the justice procedures he must face, and they won’t want to have to answer for anything that might stop that.

This will come down to the Maori imo.

From what I've seen their not too happy about this either, the Maori would be the ones running the prisons, if they can get to him I'd think they'd likely do something but as Va Va said he'd likely be put in solitary or with the Paedo's who are separated from the main populace.

Tbf its times like this which remind me of my old school days when violence was very much part of dialogue and ways of sorting things out.

It was vastly different even as recent as the 1980s.

I recall my father would be fixing his car on our estate, and if a stranger walked by he'd stop him and ask why he was there. Unless he had a good reason for being there he'd get told to do one, and if he refused you can be sure that several more men would come out of their flats and send him packing.

If a drunken nuisance started trouble in a pub, the landlord would give him a slap and kick him into the street. If he rang the police they'd give him another slap.
