Really enjoying this international break so refreshing not watching the Arsenal get murdered, and will give Leno time to recover that back injury from picking the ball out of the net

Thank God for that Phil, it's been bloody roasting in Turkey, it's still 35°c / 21°c here.

I don't feel well so I've just taken one of those lateral flow tests. Fingers crossed.

That's hot.

Did you manage to avoid any damage from those fires?

I recall being in Spain one really hot & dry year and the mountain next door to ours caught fire. It was pretty scary to see it spreading and the helicopter dragging water from the sea and dumping it on it.

They managed to put it out after a day or so. Luckily it was one side of the mountain where it was mainly forest and no properties.

I got recommend that Netflix show about Jack Whitehall where he travels with his dad.

I couldn't get though 10 minutes. He seems like a tool. Don't understand any appeal he might have tbh

I have a theory. Because I was Hyde Park last week. Walked past the insane asylum called Speakers
Corner. And it had me thinking .If God exists I think he's an alien, take mythology literally and believe the constant mention of skygods as aliens. I don't think they created earth or anything on it but I do think something is out in universe. We mostly won’t get near them. Sadly this not Star Wars, Star Trek or An MCU movie. But Way more plausible. If he exists, it most likely means there is some advanced alien civilization that created us for some test/simulation, TLDR: test subjects do not end up well. Also, God was kind of an asshole in the Quran, Bible and Torah?., .

When we die it will just be like it was before we were born.

We didn't exist for eternity until our birth and we'll go back to not existing for eternity after our death.

But if that's not the case my other belief is we'll revert back to pure energy when we die and exist forever throughout the universe, but I don't think there is an omnipresent God who created everything.

It’s a depressing thought that we’ll just switch off for eternity, but how can it be anything else? No one knows, so it seems reasonable to think that is what will happen.

I was brought up in an environment where the Catholic religion was very present, but I can never recall having what you might call faith. I completely disconnected myself from it aged about 13 or 14.

I'm probably what people call agnostic. I can't say whether there is or is not any type of god or next life as I don't know. But I dont believe at all in man made organised religion. It is for the most part an abomination - particularly the Abrahamic faiths.

My favourite quote in relation to religion comes attributed to committed agnostic Voltaire, who when on his death bed was asked by a priest to renounce Satan, replied, "My good man, I don't think now is the time for me to start making enemies."
