Just realised it's also been more than 10 years since his quartet of goals against Liverpool.

Man, time flies.

It really does.

Can't believe we're about to be halfway through 2019 in a couple days.

It does tend to happen this time of year

We got away with winter this year. Not many really cold days at all

I was there for his first game with us. I remember seeing him and thinking of how small he was. Looked like a kid out there, until he touched the ball.

The worst thing is the older you get the quicker time flies.

I spent 5 years at Primary school and it felt like 20 years, Secondary school also felt like 15 years.

My 20's felt way longer than 10 years, now in my 30's every time I blink its another New Year already gone.

The years feel shorter as you get older because they’re progressively a lower overall percentage of your life.

A year lasted forever when you were aged ten, because it was a significantly huge 10% of the life you had lived up to then.

But by the time you reach fifty, that same year in time is an insignificant 2% of your life thus far.

Thoroughly depressing.

I also think its because my life is consumed with work.

I used to have time just to hang round a mates or girls house for hours just talking, drinking, watching tv whatever.
Now I get out on a Saturday night in town to see my friends and rest and recover on a Sunday.
Throughout the week all I do is work, train and rest up for a few hours after work, hardly any spare time.

Makes me wonder how I found time last year when I had my bird, saw her only 3x a week at best.

I need to be rich tbf or at least on 6 figures to make the most of things.

Time seems shorter because of memory. Our concept of time is all about how much we remember. When we remember more then time seems longer. So when we're older we don't remember each individual moment as much as we do as kids. That's why as a kid everything seems like it takes forever. A week seems like a month. But you're so busy and also don't remember as much as an adult, so your concept of time is off, which makes it seem like it goes by faster.

A lady wrote an article/blog about this and she said she realized this in her 40's, and started to take pictures of herself everyday and write a daily journal about what she did that day. So when she's older she can go back and read it, and look at pictures and remember those times, in hopes that her concept of time will feel longer so she don't feel like she wasted her life or that it went by so fast. Because you always hear old people talk about this and say don't blink, cause life will be over before ya know it.
